Things we often get asked
You Do Not Need to Know How to Pose
Feeling uncertain in front of the camera is completely normal.
Most clients are not used to being photographed professionally. You will be guided through the entire experience, from where to stand and what to do with your hands, to creating expressions and poses that feel comfortable and natural.
The aim is not to make you look like somebody else.
It is to help you see yourself feeling beautiful, confident and proud of the woman and mother you are becoming.
When Should You Book?
Maternity portraits are usually best created between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy.
This allows your bump to be beautifully defined while the experience can still feel comfortable and enjoyable.
When expecting twins or multiples, an earlier session may be recommended.
You can take advantage of the offer now and we will select a date for you once we call you to confirm your booking.
What Should You Bring?
Bring a selection of outfits that make you feel comfortable and reflect your personality.
Different colours, textures and styles will help create more variety during your session. You do not need to make every decision before arriving. Guidance can be provided to help you choose what will photograph well.
Can My Family Be Included?
Yes. Partners and siblings are always welcome.
You can create a mixture of individual maternity portraits, couple photographs and family images during your session.
Booking the Right Date
The studio diary opens up to five months in advance.
Friday appointments are also used for other studio experiences and are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Reserving early gives you the best choice of dates within your ideal maternity window.
What Happens After the Session?
After your maternity experience, you will be invited to view your finished portraits.
Your framed 8 × 6-inch desktop portrait is included. Additional portraits, wall products and collections are available separately should you wish to purchase anything further.
